Everyone's saying he should get extra for running away. But I see it the other way. The punch was so wussy, I'd take games away. It obviously didn't hurt much and it gives Carmelo a chance to get back on the court sooner so the rest of the NBA can start cracking jokes during games about how he ran away after he threw his punch, lol.

But in all seriousness, I thought 15 was too much..I was expecting 10 games. This didn't involve any fans so there wasn't going to be any Ron Artest type punishment.

15 games is more then enough. Nuggets probably will not even win a game without him. The Nuggets season is headed to the toilet now. Yes Carmelo's fault and he does deserve 15 but no more than that.

Whatever the standard penalty is for fighting in the nba. I dont think it should exceed that. He fought, he apologized like they all do, and there shouldnt be a stiffer penalty against him. The league shouldnt try and make an example of him just because he lost his cool. Jordan used to lose his cool all the time, but never got punished severely for it. Jordan was a fierce competitor, even to the point of punching teammates in the face during practice..nothing happened to him..we should keep it in perspective..it was a punch thrown, barely landed..fine him, suspend him and be over with it..

Dawg, 15 is way too much... I think he should have gotten 10. 5 for running from Nate Robinson... lol... and 5 from nearly missing Collins entirely and only connecting w/ 10% force!

i imagine it develop into honest that he were given suspended for 15 video games because he did no longer could punch the dude. it is how i'd have did it gave him 15 video games postponing for the punch, and 5 more beneficial video games for operating like somewhat lady after he did it.

I would suspend him an extra 5 games for running from Nate Robinson haha. Either punch and stand there, or just run from the start...dont punch and run, thats cowardly!

What Sigma said. He needs an extra 15 games for cowardice. If you make your bed, be prepared to lie in it.

yeah I guess but you guys don't lose respect for him he wasn't thinking at least he saved most of his pride... his punch was hard hit to Collins the run save him from destroying his career those Knicks just wanted to gang up on Melo to take him down but they can't!

yes it is b/c he shouldn't of gotten involved. The fight didn't even start with him, but he's the only one people r really talking about. He should've known better.
