Can anyone tell me if you can play PS2 games on a PS3 or if it's like Xbox 360 and you can only play certain games on it?

Yes. You can play most PS2 and PSone titles on PS3. There will be a few that you cannot play on it, but they may make patchs for d/l that will correct the problem.
Microsoft is doing the same for XBox 360.

Yes, you can play PS2 games on PS3, but some games won't entirely work. There will be little things missing like background music or a weapon won't work right, but other than that they will work on PS3.

there will be no prob ps3 can definately play ps2 cds that too with better graphics
