Is there a difference between the sexes or is prostitution more a question of power and money?

A woman would only go to a prostitute for what she could not obtain easily or legally for herself.

I had no idea there was an increase in the number of male prostitutes servicing females. I really only imagined this was a very low portion of male prostitution work. The stereotype of a male prostitute servicing older wealthy white females. I really thought most male prostitutes were servicing other males. I think prostitution has everything to do with money. I am not sure how much power is involved. There seems to be a great loss of control, some form of addiction or lack of self esteem, self respect, self love. And crack put all of the pimps out of business. Just my opinion. God bless****.

You are delusional. There is no increasing male prostitution servicing females. Gigolos have always maintained a small percentage of the greater " sex for sale " industry. There is a difference between the sexes and it is brought into sharp relief in prostitution. I am afraid you have been reading some literature that is steeped in fallacy.

Yes, as the sexual (r)evolution in the western world continues, behavior once thought only to be common among men may also be seen among women. Prostitution is wrong, but there's no necessity to suggest it ought to be more a matter of one gender than the other.
