What you need to do is find out what type of Motherboard you have by opening the case and looking for it printed on the board. If you have a Dell, HP, etc........ You can call the builder and place an order of more ram. But if you don't have a Name brand computer find out the mb name and model number which is uasally printed on the board and look it up. Most MB makers have specfic ram that they will use. As in case of mine of which I had to order specfic ram. The best Ram out there is Kingston now. www.kingston.com and you can input your system specs and it will recomend what type of ram and give you a choice of how much you want...... The bigger (size wise) the better.

Find out what type of RAM you currently have, how much. If you have 2 sticks - you can try adding 2 more (make sure new ones are the same), if you have 1 - try matching this one, find a new one with the same speed, size, timing (preferably the same manufacturer).
