Has it ever occured to you that biology is what dictates the age of consent, whatever the law states?

i think i understand what you are asking here but dont you think you should have been a little more persuasive with this?...you asked for a favor of signing a petition with a point blank question...when i opened the link i at least expected a little more of an explanation...sorry but i cant just sign something without knowing more details

I'd like to help you out, but if I did, I would be a hypocrite, as I was under 18 when I had sex for the first time. Sorry.

No, I won't. I think that 16 is perfectly appropriate. If you're old enough to have employment, then you're old enough to have sex. Instead of raising the age of consent, perhaps you should look for other, more effective, methods to deter teen pregnancy. One of those is providing birth control to ANY high school student who wants it, for FREE. If they're going to have sex, and they are going to, then help them do it responsibly.
