My monitor has alot of effects on eyes also, it don't matter how big or small it is--the problem could be the brightness. I make it a habit of not looking at it all time and in every 30 minute or so segment I look out the window and follow "circles" made up to give the eyes a break and other mobility. I have tried the "shades" for toneing it down but did not find anything to work as well as looking away--give the eyes a break!!

You need to change the refresh rate on your computer, this will help your eyes.

Right click on your desktop, click on the properties, click on the setting tab, click on advance button, click the monitor tab and then choose the highest setting your monitor will allow to refresh 60 mhz, 90 mhz or whatever.

Also, drink lots of water as that will help with eye strain and dry eye.

No wonder your eyes are effected by the size of the monitor your using if you need monitors that size you must be blind

I would say use 600x480 or 800x600 pix looks like your into the 1280x1024 or even higher graphics. plus you may be to close to the monitor for your own good
