we just got a new ps2 as an early x-mas present. i've played one game on ps2 and it was a final fantasy game. i don't remember the name of it tho. it was kinda cartoony. i think the main character had pointy ears, and maybe a tail. do you know which final fantasy game this is? i like those kinda games tho. like the sims. i have ALL the sims pc games. can you give me any suggestions of games that i might enjoy. as of now, we dont have any. i rented the NEW final fantasy, and it seems ok. help!?

I love RPGs too! The newest Final Fantasy, XII, is awesome. But if you just got a PS2, you proabaly haven't played the older ones, so I'll make a list for you.
Final Fantasy X and X-2
Dark Cloud 2
Wild Arms 3 and 4
Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
Star Ocean - 'Til the End of Time (and I advise getting a guide for this one, the maps can be confusing!)
But also, I'd buy FFXII, because with all the sidequests, it'll be easy to play 100 hours or more on this one! Have fun!

All the Final Fantasy games are amazing. A lot of fun to play. Once you play one and fall in love with it, you are hooked to the whole series. I think you may have played FFIX (9).
Another amazing series is the Star Ocean. Very long, but great. You may want to look into Ratchet and Clank as well, not an RPG, but a lot of fun to play.
There are soooooo many awesome games for PS2, you really can't go wrong!
