I'm a salaried employee, and if i work 2 hours and go home sick, is it against the Law in California to deduct 6 hours sick?

Not sure about CA, but in MD they do not deduct for half days at the company I work for. If you go home sick, it's 8 hours of sick time if you leave before your half point of your shift. If you leave after your half point, then it's just free time - they won't deduct anything.
