This is way too small for either fish.
If you can afford a 75 gallon that would be best for the Oscar alone. The Pacu will need a 200 + gallon.
Both fish prefer similar water conditions (softer water), and despite what many say, Oscars are not as aggressive as other American Cichlids such as Red Devils. Both fish can be fed and live many years on quality pellet foods.
One of our original customers that we set up aquariums for in 1978 was the Bahooka Restaurant in Rosemead California. We set up several 300- 400 gallon aquariums (this restaurant had 90+ aquariums) with Pacus and Oscars and they grew up well together, and 20 + years later they were still doing well fed on pellets, occasional feeders, and even carrots for the Pacus (the Pacus put on quite a show for the customers).

No way. Oscars are voracious predators and pacus are gentle giants. The oscar will eat the pacu.
Did you know that pacus can reach an astounding 3 feet long? Frankly, it's criminal that they sell these fish in petstores. If you want to keep your pacu, please know that you will eventually need a minimum of 300 gallons for him. I know a pacu owner who converted part of her living room into a 2000 gallon tank for her pacu!
Oscars are BIG fish. They can grow to be much longer than the depth of a 35 gallon tank. One oscar needs a minimum of 60 gallons.
Please look into upgrading your 35 gallon if you want to keep your oscar. If you cannot, bring your oscar and pacu back to your petstore and get something more appropriate. Oscars and pacus, for all their monstrous size, and surprisingly sensitive to water quality and tank size, and will not live long in such a small tank. Especially not together.

Im going to have to agree with everyone else on this subject, and say no. The oscar will need minimum 55 gallons for itself, and the pacu (if it ever reaches its potential length) will need atleast a 180 gallon tank. I would return the pacu either way. If you are willing to upgrade to a 55 gallon tank, then I would keep the oscar, but ONLY if you are going to upgrade.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!
Oscars need 55 gallons for 1 fish all alone and even that is stretching the limits of being too small.
Pacus on the other hand can get up to 2 feet and weigh around 40 pounds. They also need to be kept in schools so a 1000+ gallon aquarium or a pond is the only thing practical for them.

difficult to trust given the extremely speedy boom costs of those particular fish (for instance, a %., which calls for a minimum of a 300gal tank, will frequently outgrow a 55gal tank in decrease than a three hundred and sixty 5 days if not a lot quicker). Realistically (and assuming they were extremely tiny once to procure them) the %. and oscar would have outgrown the 10gal after numerous weeks(max). Assuming they are critically stunted (which they'd might want to be after a three hundred and sixty 5 days in a 10gal), commerce them in on the community fish shop and get fish perfect for a 10gal (like small tropicals). not confident if the fish save will settle for deformed fish although. How massive are those fish now?
