ok...i see a lot of questions asking why does (insert yahoo! handle here) have so many points or why do people do this or that and a blah blah yadda yadda...dont they have a "life"? (even though there these hypocrites are...sitting right there in front of their computer screens just the same as the people they are attempting to take a jab at)

so what i want to know is...

what exactly constitutes having a "life" in the sense that these people mean it?

does it mean sitting in front of the television all day long? going out and clubbing every night? working some deadend job countless hours of the week?

i mean really...can someone help me out here?

To me, the purpose of life is to pursue happiness, whatever that may be. Just do what makes you happy, whether short term or long term.

These people who are telling others to get a life should just get a life, do something happy instead of making others miserable. Hypocrites.

A life is something meaningful, something with goals that one can progress towards, something with friends and useful social interaction, with appropriate mental stimulation, with a satisfying balance of fun and work. In other words, a meaningful way to live that makes one fulfilled and happy should constitute a life, but people usually equate having a life with having a social life.
