That was a stupid attempt to overcome the separation of church and state but the supreme court has already ruled that symbols such as Christmas trees, Santa, Rudolph, etc are secular and may be displayed on government owned property. A Menorah is a religious symbol and therefore falls under the separation of church and state.

The Rabbi that threatened to sue the Seattle airport just wanted to put up a menorrah (sp?), not block the display of the Christmas tree, and he said so after they took down the trees so that they could put them back up. And in case you haven't heard, Jesus was JEWISH.

the actual tale: - Rabbi contacted the airport 2 months in the past, provided to look after the Jewish reveal himself (i.e. no cost to the airport). - He on no account demanded that the timber be bumped off at any time - whilst the airport authority did no longer supply him a reaction the rabbi had his criminal expert deliver them a criminal short detailing that there became precendence to exhibiting Jewish products as a thank you to spur the authority into action. - The airport authority panicked and in reaction desperate to no longer have ANY holiday reflects - The media then misreported the information in one in each and every of those way that it made it look that the rabbi became on the instant to blame for the removing of the timber. - The rabbi himself has no objection to the substitute of the timber. So, to answer your question, ought to they have displayed a menorah? nicely, finally, its as much as the airport authority. So, in the event that they suggested "no" its their perogative. having suggested that, the comparable is going for a "specific" answer. individually, i do no longer care one way or the different.

This whole politically correct bullsh*t has gotten completely out of hand.

I say, if they don't like the Christmas tree there, fukkum!!!!! Go move back to your "war-torn homeland", or wherever the f*ck you came from.

Some people are only happy if they are bitching about something. Someone should give this loser a swift kick in the behind!!!

No & let me make this clear that I am a Christian but that Rabbi had every right to want a menorah up at the airport. This is the second incidence in 3 weeks that people of my faith are trying to make the Jews look bad when ITS NOT THEIR FAULT

Of course not....most Jews don't care what we celebrate, or how we choose to do it. There's just a few very vocal giggle-sissy nutcases who want to get a little publicity...they piss off other Jews more than they do the Christians.

No, since the Christmas tree has nothing to do with Christian Christmas in the first place.

The current administration pretty much threw separation of church and state right out the window.

Please don't include me when you say "our," since you are obviously anti-semitic and ignorant.

My tax dollars will not be used to promote any one particular religion over another. All religions are good.
