How many people out there actually make their avatars similar to their weight and looks, and how many like to feel good about having a different online physical persona? Why do people try to make their animated selves appear more attractive than who they really are? Do people have a wish to meet others from Yahoo Answers? Are any of the pretty and 'sexy' female avatars truly representative of their creator? If so, how do I meet them (jokes..lol)?

Thanks

I honestly tried to make mine close as I possibly could to me. I wish they had more veriety for faces weights and others but whos complaining? good question though, I do believe there are people who have avatars that dont look like either for two reasons they want to feel better about themselves (not totally a BAD thing... i guess) and because there isnt much variety they cant make them look like themsleves... I hope that my insight helps.

Honestly, with the hat, my avatar looks more like a goof than I am. I tend to keep the the same face, which looks as close to me as possible (which is still horribly off) and throw a costume of sorts on the thing because the style I have doesn't really exist for them. I do what I can, but it's a stretch to say it looks like me.

I in simple terms picked one that is close to to what i myself look as though i'm slightly off and older then my image yet i'm lots like it too understand what I mean good by using fact i think of I have been given lost some whereTold ya i became ageing i do no longer think of i'm grotesque yet i circulate by making use of the asserting that splendor is dermis deep any way i glance previous seems for the main area Come on there are in simple terms some particularly grotesque human beings obtainable and once you notice one you recognize you need to look two times!!!!!!!!

I do look as similar to my avatar as possible, but do they make overweight ones? Ugly ones? Middle aged ones? No. So how can everyone unanimously say they look like their avatar when all the different sizes and shapes and ages aren't represented?

Probably the closest approximation to what they appear like, with some embellishments would be my guess. The avatar I used was the closest approximation to my appearance, and you can see the similarities on my Yahoo 360 account, where my avatar appears with my photograph.

My avatar is pure fantasy. I only looked like mine about 40 years ago. I just enjoy having fun with mine.

I'm a plus size woman who refuses to use the plus size look because I don't look fat and Yahoo!'s plus clothing makes one look that way.

I made mine look as similar to me as I could. Although I am a little bit chubbier than my avatar. :) But the plus size avatars were too plus size for me.

I tried to come as close to my build as I could, even though it has the face of an 18 year old and I'm 43.
