It's not just women who go to church. Jealousy is a nasty human trait that warps many peoples' lives. In men it appears as control, while women stand on guard to protect their man from all comers. Sadly, in most cases, the man she's protecting, as her personal territory, no one else wants. Just because she loves him doesn't mean anybody else would. Women like this alienate the people around them and sabotage relationships with both friends and family for herself and her husband.

I'd be surprised if you could actually produce an authoritative statistic suggesting something is unique about the church in this matter. Perhaps you know of a few situations personally, so it seems to be a "church-wide" phenomenon.
If there were such a connection, it would probably be linked to Christians having an ethical standard regarding the permanent nature of marriage relationships. Unfortunately, the divorce rates among Christians is nearly as high as among non-Christians.

Not only church women, but any women who are insecure with their own ability to "hold a man". Perhaps she views men, especially her own husband as an object.
Something she hasn't outgrown since kindergarten. Hah! Someone always takes her toys away from her. She needs to understand that her husband has the ability to make up his own mind. If he's giving her signals that "she has no control over him" then all the more reason why she may be feeling insecure.
She should just make herself understand that "if he goes off with anyone who bats her eyes at him", then he's not worth hanging on to. ;))
Take care of yourself, no one else will.

I'm not sure that they are. But I do find that Xtians in general spend a lot of time thinking about, worrying about, wondering about, confessing about "sin". I find that most church-goers are obsessed with it.
So maybe these women (if they do believe that) see the Jezebel in every other woman since she knows what her own "sinful" thoughts are.

How do you know that? Can you read minds or something? I think they're thinking a lot of other things to tell you the truth. Sometimes single people do seem like they're always "looking" even though the people they're looking at are married already. That could be why.
