Ive heard so much that it just sucks. I have cricket though, (i know, ew cricket sucks) but none of their phones are that great and razr looked pretty good to me but i got a lot of "no's" when i told people i wanted it.

Is there any difference since it would be a cricket razr?

Preferably some answers from people who own them--what are some good/bad things about it? Would you recommonend I buy it,or use my 300 dollars on a different phone?

I asked a question similar to this about the razr, and ended up buying one anyway. I love it. The only problem is the earpiece volume. You can not use it in loud places, but other than that the phone is great. I dont think I would have spent $300 on it though, I got it for free with service. It doesnt do that much for $300.

If you look around you should be able to get the phone for free or close to it with a new service plan.

I have one and carry it with me all the time and I have noticed that fine dust tends to collect under the viewscreens. I am around sawdust and fine dirt much of the time so that it part of my problem, but to have it sift undernearth the glass is not such a good thing. I have also accumulated a bunch of small scratches on the face of the camera glass, and now this makes any pics I try to take look hazy and soft. In bright sunlight the display is hard to see, but I only have my brigntess turned up less than halfway. If you carry this in your pocket there is a tendency for one of the side buttons that sets the ringer to change it to silent if it accidentally gets pushed.

If I had it to do over again I would get a case for it. Other than that it works fine and I have no complaints about the service (I have Cingular) I like it because it is small and compact and easy to use. It seems to be strong enough to hold up to my abuse, and I have dropped it without any ill effects.

My best friend and I both have Motorola Razr's from Verizon wireless and we love them. The picture taking ability is crystal clear. They have larger memories than any other cell I've owned. Thus, I don't have to erase text messages as much. I've never heard any complaints about them until I saw your question here.

if your getting it as part of your contract GO FOR IT!!!!! if your looking into buying one to use for your existing contract stay away. The phone are EXCELLENT especially yhe newer models compared to the first ones. The volume is a bit of an issue when it comes to being in crowded ot Loud places. The pictures are phenominal best bet is to go to the cell store 9 out of 10 cell sites have interactive models that you can look at get a feel for to see if its somethign you want.
