Hello,
If you have created a Rescue disk with any anti virus program you can boot your computer with the rescue disk.
Otherwise remove your HDD from the pc connect another spare hard disk and install widows and a good anti virus program, like Norton, Pc Chilin or Trendmicro then change the original master slave setting to secondary slave and connect as a secondary HDD in your computer. Your original HDD will be shown as as another drive in Windows, Now try to remove the virus with the anti virus program.
This methods helps to save any important data in your original drive.
Once the Virus is removed you can switch back the original to primary master mode and disconnect the second disk and boot your original windows.

What I would do and have done is format the hard drive and start afresh with Novell Suse Linux 10.2 go buy it from best buy, circuit city or someplace like that you get exerything you need software wise,, 5 cd's and one DVD for the 64 bit version and 3 months support

There are to many holes in Microsoft and the new windows vista is not much better according to next months PC World's write up about it, plus the price is going to be high around 199.00 bucks for the home version

best advice I can give you is move off Microsoft and jump on to Novell sues linux 10.2...

Go to Start>Run> and type "gpedit.msc" and then go to administrative templates and disable all policies restricting the functionality of windows components that are restricted.
