i hit the ball with my thumb quite hard and its swollen and stiff. if i move it it hurts. what can i do?

soak it in some water with ice. if that doesn't work, hit up the doctor.

Just let it heal.Not much you can do about it. I dislocated my pinky play Basketball and it hurt for like a whole month. And if I accidently hit it again it will start to hurt again but only for like a day.


Yours isn't as bad so just let it heal.

hot salted water, and put yourhand in there for 5 minutes , that will help with thw swollen problem, then go to the doctor

ice your thumb down to bring down the swelling then use some warm water or something warm to stretch the ligaments in your thumb out

if you cant move it at all then its probably broken, or it could be a torn ligament in your thumb. You should probably see your doctor if the pain is too much for you.
