Yer standard backhoe, probably a John Deere 310G, is what you'll want. It'll cost ye $265 per day, $660 per week. This price doesn't include sales tax or delivery. The trucking fees will vary depending on where you need your pond. You'll want to add the rental protection plan as well, considering there be dragons.

It will be one million dollars for a backhoe. It would be much cheeper to hire some peeple. Dragon can pay them in peanutbutter sandwiches.

I rented one in TN for 300 a day. There was an additional charge for delivery and pickup. The price also will depend on the size.

I'd go with what the smart lady said above me. I was just thinking that Dragon could probably get some unemployed peeple to do it, as long as she fed them pizza and beer and told them they could come swimming with the mutated sea bass whenever they wanted.

Call your local rental dealer! Around here it is $200 a day! Depending on the job, it is cheaper to hire an excavator--let them dig the hole!
If you hire the unemployed--you need to pay minimum wage, and some beer!
