Yeah, why not stay at one of the Resorts right on property? You get all sorts of benefits like free transportation to your Resort and all the Theme Parks, the Extra Magic Hours (hours when the Parks are open to Resort Guests only,) etc. I usually stay at Disney's Polynesian Resort. It's a Deluxe Resort and one of the two original Resorts at Walt Disney World. There are Moderate and Value Resorts, too, though, which are less expensive.

Hope I could help!

Depends on how much you want to spend. If you stay on International Drive the prices are cheaper and there are a plethora of hotels there.

Try the Homewood Suites on American Way, reasonable prices and a full dinner and breakfast provided with your stay.

It's just minutes from Disney and really close to Universal. There are lower priced hotels though too, the Hampton Inn and Suites - on International Drive is pretty nice.

The cheapest hotel around that area is usually the Quality Inn, they run specials nightly, there are no frills or breakfast but the rooms are cheap and clean.

Those are my picks anyway depending on what you are looking for but the Homewood hotels are really nice and have a comfortable atmosphere with some nice extras.

Most of the Disney hotels are quite expensive.

The area closest to Disney which is also very pleasant is Lake Buena Vista. It's only about 5 mins away. It's hard for me to recommend you a particular hotel as I don't know your requirements but any of those in the list below should be ok.

I-Drive (International Drive) is ok but feels like one long road of hotels and cheap restaurants. Disney is a fair treck from there.

Personally, I'd go with Lake Buena Vista.

I highly recommend the Polynesian Resort.

A- Its steps away from the TTC(transportation and ticket center)(you have to go to there to get on a monorail for epcot). It has a monorail for the magic kingdom and you can go explore the other hotels in the area.

B- The food is excellant.

C- Two nice pools

D- Rooms are beautiful with excellant views.

Some downsides is that it is pricey but its well worth it. The walls are thin and the buildings arent all together so if it rains you'll get wet going from the main building, pool, TTC etc
