Will Leonardo di caprio be the next hollywood generation's Legend?

I think he has always been a great actor. I mean , an Oscar nom at 19? He wa the youngest to get one at that time. I just think that he became a teen idol and was such a big craze it made him into a bit of a joke. Sadly. Now he has run from that status by making the most horrible movies he can. They've been filthy movies that the young girls can't watch.

I hope he quits doing that path soon and makes good movies that a large audience can watch. He's old enough now to avoid that heart throb status. He always does a great job of acting in whatever he does.

I think one of his 1st acting gigs was "Growing Pains". I don't see what anybody saw in him then to give him more acting gigs. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike him, but to be honest, there's alot of competition out there. He's proven himself a fine actor, but why was he given the chance, I'll never know. He doesn't have it in the looks department. When he did "Whats eating Gilbert Grape" I knew he would prove himself as an actor, but the Growing Pains show, I wasn't too impressed.
