Is this the first time it has happened?
Are all your connections o.k.?
What type of service do you have? Dial-up? Is the phone on?
Your service provider may be temporarily disabled, the lines may be overloaded ... I very seldom run into this but I find that to keep trying eventually pays off.
Early morning access if pretty good, late at night good, daytime slow, weekends and holidays slower. With all the holiday shoppers online now I suggest you keep trying.

Looks like you are not connected. Check your modem to see if it has any activity on it, and I would even unplug it and let it power back up. If it is cable internet I would also shut your computer down and re start it after the modem is back and running, this will allow the computer to acquire a new MAC address.
