I dislike the way games are produced and edited whenever Farve plays. The entire game becomes about Farve. Does the NFL put out a memo that it is forbidden to be critical of this burnout? All he does is LOSE games and throw interceptions and the announcers will not stop yammering on and on about the time his dad died and his wife....blah blah blah.

Brett won ONE SB! Thats it.

Everyone is focusing too much on the SB comment. My point is there is PLENTY to be critical of Favre about: 1. refuses to train replacement. 2. own locker room. 3. holds out announcing whether play or not while critical of Walker when he does same. 4. demands premium salary for sub par effort. 5. more concerned with his stats than winning games (read consecutive starts).

Lets talk about how he will likely break the all time record for INTERCEPTIONS!

Farve is a man way past his prime. Instead of constantly praising him lets have a frank discussion about how he does not belong in the game.

I'm from WI...supposed to be a Packers fan but I HATE the Packers for precisely the reason you've stated. He is waaaaaaaaaaayyyyy overrated, in fact I think he's a pathetic "has been" that needs to retire. In fact I hate to listen to ANYTHING that has to do with the Packers cuz I'm tired of having them shoved down my throat!

I'm a Broncos fan and proud of it. :-)

Sorry Brett Farve is not overrated.

You can't lay the fact that he only won one Super Bowl on him alone. NFL is a league of parity. One year this team is good, next year another team is good. Also, they did go to the playoffs before/after that one Super Bowl but never made it back. Doesn't mean that it was due to Farve. Remember Dan Marino only went to one Super Bowl and lost and never made it back. Last I checked, he was in Canton. Brett has been to more than one Super Bowl.

You also can't blame him for the last few years that he's been having when his team is struggling. Yes, he has been throwing many interceptions but that is because he tries to make something happen. Packers do not have great players to help Brett out. That is not his fault, it's management's fault.

Also he has set many NFL records, including consecutive games played. He was also league MVP on numerous occasions. He will be in Canton, no question about it. So how can he be overrated???

No, I am not a Packers fan, but I respect everything that Brett Farve has done for the NFL.

Im no longer a large Favre fan, yet I do imagine he has had a large occupation. He received 3 MVP awards. He guided the Packers to 2 large Bowl appearances and a pair more beneficial NFC Championship video games. Favre threw over 250 yards and three Touchdowns contained in the large Bowl in which the Packers lost to the Broncos. Elway by technique of evaluation did not play that properly. If the Packers may have received the sport then Favre in all likelihood were named MVP for a way he performed. the version in that Superbowl develop into the undeniable truth that the Packers protection couldn't supply up Davis operating the ball. Favre can't administration how poorly his protection performs. football is the surprising crew sport, so that you won't be able to fault Favre for in effortless words triumphing one ring. The communities Favre performed on were merely no longer sturdy sufficient. Many large gamers in this league not in any respect received a ring, or in effortless words received one ring.

First of all you didn't spell his name right. Brett Favre is an American Icon. He is not playing good right now, but you could put Peyton Manning behind that anemic O-line with those garbage receivers (except Driver) and he would throw as many or more picks. He is an average size, average speed QB that has dominated the NFL for years with intelligence and heart. Brett Favre could throw a football throw a football through your sternum, and probably would if you called him overrated to his face.

OK, anybody that really knows football and not just from a fans point, knows Favre is anything BUT overrated. Look at the offensive...and I mean offensive....line he has to work with. How many pro bowlers does he have on offense? GreenBay has stripped him of all the real good talented receivers he was use to working with. And he is still doing a pretty good job for what he has to work with. Look at the receivers that Peyton Manning has. Look at the receivers alot of Hall of Fame QBs have had. Now look at what has and has had. I'm no Packer fan, but you have to give credit where credit is due.

your pretty dumb. Saying Favre is overrated bc hes not playing great now is like saying Jordan is overrated bc of his wizard career. Everyone gets old and loses their ability but dont let that distract you from how good they were. I'm 27 and Favre is the #1 quaterback i've watched play. He's a top 5 qb ever, arguably the best ever.

NO WAY! He is NOT over-rated. This has been a rough last couple of seasons because he doesn't have the team around him that he used to.........He is beloved by a majority of football fans. Hes such a class act and the fiercest competitor. I love his raw emotion when he plays. THe man is all heart. When teams let him get on the loose im like oh man they are stupid because Bret is one of those QBS that can go for the jugular....He is awesome... And every year I hope we get just one more year watching #4. He is an institution. I think the world of Bret Favre and i always will. NO WAY IS FAVRE OVER-RATED.....HE IS BELOVED!!!!!!!!

I think he's past his prime and I'd rather see him retire than just hang on, but I don't think he's overrated at all. He's a sure-fire Hall of Famer. He's won a Super Bowl, and there's quite a few great quarterbacks (Dan Marino, Peyton Manning so far, Dan Fouts) that never have.

No, the most over rated player is either Ben Roethlisberger or Tom Brady. Ben has done horrible, HE is horrible. Brady has always sucked, it's always been his team carrying him, so its one of them.

Vick is one of the NFL's most dangerous players. How people talk about him if fine. If his line protects, he can bust a huge run. If they protect stronger, he can throw a decent pass. Vick is a running QB, they're becoming more popular and teams are building around it, welcome to the new NFL. Get used to it.

I remember Bart Starr. He was an egotistical jerk and still is if you've ever seen his commercials for Rawhide Ranch.

At least Favre was likable until he started overexposing himself with all the commercials he's now doing.

How much money do these people actually need? It's getting to the point where they are getting as greedy as TV evangelists.
