i agree with you that Rocky 6 is a dumb idea and Stallone needs to retire from acting.

I am unsure, I think it might have some possiblility of inspiration. It would be a good change to bring the movies back to some old style movie principles with a ficticious story of an older man that defeats the possibility. Kinda of like the other "based on a true story" movies about the baseball guy that becomes a pitcher or the old guy that never played football, but tried out for the local team and made it as a player. I think I'll give it a look at before judging it too quickly. I hope it will be more of a passing of the torch to another potential "Rocky" and brings some feelings of making your dreams back to the big screen.

I'll give it a try.

Didn't know there was six...wow...and yes, it's a pretty dumb idea to come up with it now. I did see an interview with him where he said that he had come up with the idea of making another Rocky, but it had been turned down by the producers.

Yeah, I know. It's like too late for all of that. Back in the day another Rocky would have been okay but not today.

I'm not a big fan of Sylvester Stallone but I've seen the other Rockys and I don't think it was a good idea.

I'm really hoping they don't make another Indiana Jones film either!

Let's wait and see what the box office receipts look like next Wednesday, the 20th.
It has garnered astonishing reviews, including two thumbs up by Ebert and Roeper. It may just turn out to be another sleeper, like the first Rocky was.
The fact that Stallone is attempting to pull this off at age 60 is intriguing in and of itself, and early reviews indicate that he has done that in spades.
All you guys criticizing Sly, I guarantee at some point you're going to give him your ten bucks.

I agree with you. I don't think it was such a great idea either. What's the sense of prolonging this tired out movies series. The story lines have become very predictable. The sequels have lost their originality & sponteniety after the first two movies. It's time to throw in the towel.
