First of all, let me commend you on the SWEETNESS of even wanting to give your gf's mom a present! HOW CUTE! (and you will def score cool points with her fam for this).
Is there a store or brand she likes? You could get her a sweater or a purse or wallet or something?

Stick with something safe; something for the home. Candles are great. A gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond or Target. You want to keep the mom in her "place" so to speak. A gift for her for the home is neutral and wouldn't insult anyone. Jewelry, clothes, and things of that nature are a little personal for someones mom, and I promise you, once you start giving a woman jewelry, you will be expected to maintain that standard for as long as you know them.

Try a perfume which is the usual gift and also Purses, nice watch, or heres my fav a day at a spa fully loaded! It really depends on your budget.

A cookbook, apron, set of trivets, set of pretty dishtowels or table linens (placemats and napkins.)
