Its just an old wives tale, apparently mirrors were very expensive items to buy in the old days and breaking one after saving so hard for one was just sheer hard luck, the old wives of many years ago who came up with all these superstitions had nothing better to do but to put the fear of god in people, its just a silly old tale and nothing to worry about.

well it started back in the day when mirrors were one seen as a doorway to another world and two were so expensive you would spend 7 years paying it off. Thus....bad luck.

I've broken too many mirrors and walked under too many ladders to believe in those kind of superstitions.

Ooo I'm so supersticious - I wont walk under a ladder, i can't step on cracks, I almost cry if a black cat walks if front of me, I always have to get out of the bed the right way......I'm nuts cause I know it doesn't mean anything but just in case....!!

The night i got married i put just in the higher angle of the bedroom mirror that stuff all brides carry in their heads... then.after some minutes, the mirror crashes in spite of anyone was close to it.. I have always thought that is was bcoz of the weather, i havent another reason for it............but.......i dunno if it was bcoz of the bad luck or not........the thing is that i'm still married, ........from 32 years ago

I broke a car side mirror. Later that week I got rear ended. I still say it's a coincidence...
