THE NEED SOME VICTORIES. THEY NEED TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

To put it simply, no

The only reason they're even thought of like that is because their "QB" runs. The problem is, their "QB" cant throw to save his life so they will never make it to the SB.

The best running franchise? The Denver Broncos, no matter who they put at RB they get 1000+ yards every year. Last year they almost had 2 backs run for 1000+ yards (Mike Anderson who had over 1000 and Tatum Bell who had just over 900)

If you take Mike Vick out of the equation, the Falcons are just an average run team, nothing special. They only get the credit because their QB runs for more yards than he throws for...

Why a throwing QB works better than a running QB?
Drew Brees= 300+ Yards
Mike Vick = 100 yds rushing + 100 yds passing

300 > 200

A good example of what loser Mike Vick is is how happy he was when he broke the NFL rushing record for a quarterback in the game against Dallas. He never mentioned the fact that the team lost and is out of the playoff picture. At least Morten Andersen, when he mentioned the fact that he also broke a record, said it was bittersweet because the team lost.

Not hardly. Look at the Steelers of the mid to late 70's. Franco Harris and Rocky Blier. They both had over 1000 yards rushing
IN THE SAME SEASON
And that was in the days of a 14 game schedule.

hard to say, with the way the NFL changes and looking back in the day when they played 12, 14 games, but the niners back with Joe Perry and Hugh McHenny, the chiefs with O'Koay (if i spelled taht right) and barry word, cinn. with james brooks and icky woods, but i would have to rate them right up there with the best, not sure bout the best ever, yet, if they can do it the next 2-4 years they would have done it alot longer adn more then any other combo in history and then i would say with out a doudt yes they are

They might be but most great rushing teams make the playoffs. Also, the non-existant passing game negates the great rushing game. They need timely completions to be considered a great team.

Yes, but they need to open up the pass offense alot more with better recievers and with possieson reciever Finneran coming back they have a chance to make something happen.

The only stat that means anything is win/losses. So, at 7 - 7 they are also the most mediocre team in history.

Perhaps.. but where has it gotten them?

Vick is a very overrated QB due to his inconsistency. Way to many turnovers and poor decison making at times.
