Computer crimes are the responsibily of the FBI in the US.

Contact the FBI's National Computer Crime Squad through the Washington Metropolitan Field Office at nccs@fbi.gov, or call (202) 324-9164.

The FBI is not usually very helpful unless you can prove your loosing millions $$. Firewall software and good internet practice is usualy a better way to prevent such attacks.

Why would you think that somebody is illegally using your computer from a remote location ?

Local law enforcement will do nothing, if you haven't been threatened or nothing has been stolen no crime has been committed.

The FBI will do nothing, the operator that takes your call will act like they are taking down your information but they aren't. Rest assured an agent will never call you.

The criminal justice system in the US is good but there are many, many flaws. It's not about what you know, it's about what you can prove. A judge will not sign off on a search or arrest warrant with out probable cause. A grand jury will not indict someone with out evidence and a DA will not take a case to trial if he/she thinks there is a chance of losing.

that's the way the system works...that is why it is up to you to protect yourself. like the saying goes, a locked box keeps a thief honest.

First is to contact your local law enforcement. There are a lot of people out there that are professional hackers and they can interfere with your signal right outside your home. By the hackers doing that they can hack into your system and get all of your personal information. They are very intelligent and vary rarely caught. It had happened to me as well. But I have found a solution for that problem. I have a program that can stop all hackers to enter where ever they may be. That program is called Defender Pro. If your computer is at home, I recommend Defender Pro 5in1; If its a business I recommend Defender Pro 10in1 or 15in1. This program is one of the best on the market. Just install it on your system and there shouldn't be any more problems. Good luck

If you have an idea of who it is,you should confront them about the problem.Otherwise, there is nothing you can do.Why are you not running a security suite that will keep unauthorized persons from gaining access to your computer?By leaving your computer vulnerable you also expose everyone you contact to the same viruses that are on your machine. They can access your computer, even when it is off,and use it to send out spam and/or steal your identity.Having a security suite to protect your computer is a basic responsibility of owning a computer.Just like having insurance on your car.If you aren't going to you hold get rid of it.

That would be called a hacker. You have to have a lot of computer smarts to track them. Just get a good firewall and a virus checker. They won't even want to try.

wipe your hard drive put some virus blockers on and a fire wall, and stop going to porn sites.

then change all your passwords.

The cops and people can't really do anything about since it is a small crime and takes lots of man power to track so it is kind of useless to report it. they will pretend like they care if you get a nice one but they don't.

Do you have a strong firewall for your PC. If not you should buy one. Don't rely on the Windows XP firewall to protect you. You can also surf through and anonymous proxy server, it is much safer becouse they can't get your real IP address.

I would be more inclined to think the culprit you are lookin for is YOU! Most viruses are inadvertantly downloaded by the user themselves! I bet you are a frequent user of file sharing sites!
