Unless you have proof by way of a court order that she's into drinking and drugs, then it's your word against hers. Even social services will put a child back into the home of those who are drinking and doing drugs. When you split, you should have been smart enough to take the child the first time you walked. Really, your child should have been your first priority, and the baby is most obviously not yours or your ex's first priority. Go to social services and ask them about getting some sort of visitation and / or custody. But with a kid, it's time for you and your ex to grow up and put the baby ahead of yourselves in the future.

Get your documentation from social services go to the family court judge make an appoint for sole custody . But be mind full that you better have your ducks in order also because any not so pretty accounts of you will be presented you have to be able to show cause that you can support the child and provide a safe and clean home. The system is not fair but Good dads need wrights to. I hope this helps

Sounds to me that you both need your backside kicking. Booze drugs womanising, sleeping around with guys in clubs, what a carry on,

I'm not surprised that there isn't any trust, the question should be is the baby safe with either of you..Perhaps you should sort yourself out and then become a positive influence in the child's life instead of a disturbing one.

What's done is done. Your child needs to be your first priority no matter what! It's unfortunate that this had to happen, but it may be the wake up call you need to realize just how priceless a gift it is to have a child. You are truly lucky that you can in time have the opportunity to redeem yourself and prove that you made a huge mistake and prove truly how much you love your child. Botttom line - being a parent is a full-time job, a huge responsibility, and this child is dependant of you at all times.

It sounds like the situation is in the hands of social services. You need to be contacting them, for arrangements to not only see your child, but perhaps gain custody.
In fact (from what you say) you may consider a paternity test to ensure you are the child's father.

Hello your situ is a nasty one but if your wife was sleeping around you must make sure the baby is yours BEFORE you go to court .Social services can help you there .Your wife has to obey court order . Tough on all accounts keep calm and good luck .

It may take time but the courts will give you contact with your child and there is no way on the earth she can stop you from seeing the baby.Make sure you get a good family solicitor.

If I were you I'd go to the Citizen's Advice Bureau and find out exactly where I stand and what my rights are. Then at least you can start the ball rolling while you are waiting for the contact order
