This is going to sound weird, but is it still possible to go to a university at 23 and live in the dorms, do people think of you as too old. I know it's still a young age, but the whole 4 years to get a degree at 18 is killing me. I am about to finish my Associates of Art at a Junior College at 22. I pay my way through college and it's taking me twice as long to get through it. Anyone else out there doing this? (I know this sounds immature, but I just want to see what others are doing out there..)

Most of the kids in the dorms will think you're old, but it's not a big deal. You might get some jokes and stuff, but I think the experience would be worth it. The most annoying thing is going to be EVERYONE is gonna ask you to buy beer for them. If you're relatively social, you're not gonna be shunned just cuz you're a few years older. In fact, some colleges have juniors and seniors in the dorms (cuz they have room). You'd only be a couple of years older than those people.

it is possible to get housing at any age. its just that after a certain age, people prefer not to live with kids who are new to living away from their parents. it can be loud, messy, etc. but if you can hack it, there is nothing standing in your way. the only issue with living in the dorms at 23 is you might find out that you're too old to deal with your roommates.
