you can buy acrylic tongue rings...they are supposed to be easier on your teeth....they also have things called "stoppers" which are rubber...they are something you use when yo dont want anyone to know your tongue is pierced....the top is flat like a nail and it is flesh colored ( i personally hated them because i chewed through the rubber and broke it)....i hated the feeling of the acrylic, but if you are worried about chipping your teeth (which i have 2 chips in my front teeth from years of wearing my tongue ring), i would suggest looking into one

Yes it is possible to buy plastic or rubber tops and bearings. The plastic breaks alot easier. I've had my tongue ring for 8 years and I have only cracked one tooth in the way back. With rubber or plastic it will not chip or crack your teeth. I prefer metal and I just watch what I'm doing. I break to many plastic ones. All you have to do is ask them when or where you got your tongue pierced and they will be happy to help you. If not, then you can go to any spencers or romancing the stone to buy them also.

you may be began with a diverse, implant grade surgical metallic barbell it fairly is longer than a uncomplicated one. it is making use of truth a tongue piercing swells substantially more beneficial acceptable than the distinct piercing. some human beings adventure swelling to the position the tongue is two cases its time-honored length. a uncomplicated length barbell may be too constrictive. many times round ten to fourteen days upon getting it pierced the swelling and soreness have thoroughly subsided. At this element you'll probable favor to go back on your piercer and characteristic them swap the rings to a uncomplicated length barbell. this can both be presented from the tattoo and body piercing studio or you may purchase one on-line and characteristic them autoclave it for you on the keep. My suggestion may be to purchase one or 2 very severe effective titanium or Niobium barbells and then purchase the proper gauge free beads and actual replace the beads making use of truth the mood strikes you. i have been given right here for the time of that the acrylic beads were surprising at the same time as screwed onto the precise of the barbell, yet felt rather cumbersome less than my tongue, so I really used a smaller diameter surgical metallic bead for the bottom of the barbell (thinking no individual pronounced it as well) and reserved the decorative beads for the precise.

Not heard of rubber but i have a plastic one, i had to get it to wear when i had a couple of operations, no metal allowed of course.
Also after seven years i've never chipped or cracked a tooth! what are you doing with it to get that kind of damage!?

Not sure where to buy them, but I reckon they would be less likely to damage your teeth.
