My brother is getting married to a Japanese girl in Japan this coming summer 6/16/07, being that I am the best man I would like to be able to recite some sort of poem or something that would be conducive to that culture. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Most Japanese weddings are pretty modern and western style these days in Japan.

It would be better to have somone translate some sort of "welcome to the family" speach into Japanese.

Reading a poem in Japanese might not have the impact you want and unless she is into poetry, she might wonder why your doing it.
