Any brand is fine as long as you buy 100% cocoa butter. So make sure the label says 100%, and you can be confident that the product is good enough regardless of cost. I think queen helene makes one that is 100% cocoa butter. Just look in the drugstore. Also you have to use it every day, early on, preferably before your skin starts to stretch. It does work for stretch marks and scars also!!

Palmer's Success Cocoa Butter Lotion or Cream. Nothing really prevents all stretch marks. This just makes them less noticeable.

Unfortunately nothing is going to prevent them. Lotion is not going to make your skin any more elastic than it is. You're genetics determine that already. Cocoa Butter does help sooth the itchiness and dryness that the stretching can cause.

Trust me they do go away after a while but when you have the little one in your arms stretch marks are the furthest thing from your mind.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

I don't know about queen helene, but I used palmer's cocoa butter for strech marks lotion during my whole pregnancy, I put it on mornings and noon and when ever my skin itched, and my strech marks aren't that bad (and my belly was so big, I got asked if I was having twins alot). Hope it helps and happy pregnancy!

Sorry sweetie, i've got 4 children and tried EVERYTHING to reduce my odds of getting them. With my first baby, I got no strech marks what so ever, but when my second baby came along, I was in my 5th month when I started in with them. I used cocoa butter every time I went to the rest room with both of them.
I didn't get any new marks with my next two babies.
I think it's just something that you just need to view as something that might happen. Of course, the cocoa butter might help. (at least you could say you tried) : )
Just so you know, strech marks do fade over time and I feel just as good in a bikini as I did before.
Look at them as baby beauty marks, should you get them, and good luck with that miracle you've been given.

I use the Palmer's Cocoa Butter. The one that comes in a jar. It doesn't prevent the marks but it does help your skin because of the stretching.

i like palmers.

It doesnt prevent them, it simply keeps your skin at its best most healthy stretchy peek, to help avoid as much scarring as possible.

Stretch marks are genetic, if you're gonig to get them, you're going to get them. Theres no way to prevent it. Although you can lessen how bad the scarring is by keeping the skin healthy. Such as with cocoa butter.

Mederma scar treatment cream has been shown to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks after birth.

I have 2 children and no stretch marks...but I used nothing! It has nothing to do with what cream you use and everything to do with genetics. My mother has no stretch marks either. Just relax and if you have them consider them well earned if you do have them and over time they will fade out.

Nothing prevents them, its genetic. Nothing works in making them go away either. I found in my 2 pregnancies, to just give up on the cocoabutter and creams myth because they come, and they fade away when they want to no matter what you put on your belly.
