when i print, the black ink only ,is very smeared and blurry. what should i do?

If that doesn't work clean your heads with a damp paper towel. If you refill it maybe time to replace you cartridge as on most models of printers the heads are built in.

If your heads are that dirty that it smears and is blurry.The printer it not going to be able to clean itself. It's not likely a clogged head there is most likely dirt on the outside. Oh yeah make sure you use water. Alcohol will dry the heads right up.

Align the printer. If you are using a refilled or re-manufactured cartridge the ink may not be compatible, in that case replace the cartridge.

clean the print heads (not by hand, the printer can do it), how to do it varies with each printer. check your manual! :)

calibrate it or un-install and re-install
