new Tony Hawk video game, if he's into video games and doesn't have it yet, or another video game.
VANS sneakers
subscription to a skateboarding magazine
ipod shuffle ($80) if he doesn't have an ipod--and if he doesn't have any mp3 player, you can get decent ones for about $50 that just don't have that much memory on them.
food-what teenage boy doesn't like food? Put together a gift of teen craveables-individual cups of EASY MAC, beef jerky, cocoa, sports drink, Pop tarts, etc. Add a Pizza Hut gift card. Wrap it all up in a reusable rubbermaid.
a new, cool backpack
http://www.amazon.com/Everest-Player-Backpack-Select-Color/dp/B000ETYVKM/sr=8-2/qid=1166465237/ref=sr_1_2/103-1613625-1212665?ie=UTF8&s=apparel
or a hip messenger bag: http://www.amazon.com/Manhattan-Portage-Bag-Medium-Red/dp/B00013ZJNO/sr=8-1/qid=1166464807/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-1613625-1212665?ie=UTF8&s=apparel

If you want, you can fill the bag--put gum in the pockets, a hooded sweatshirt from a store American Eagle in the main area, a CD in one of the other compartments--whatever your budget allows. (You can also fill it with cheaper stuff, like pens, food (see above), playing cards, etc.
And if you're not totally opposed to gift cards, you can give them each a few gift cards inside a new wallet or card holder. Fossil has really cute wallets that aren't very expensive for both boys and girls.

If you're 18 year old neice will be going to college -- some things for her dorm might be a good idea -- x-tra long sheets, blankets. Funky jewelry is always fun for girls.
15 yr old guy....new sneakers for skateboarding? My 13 yr old is on a sneaker kick this year. (?? I don't know why??) CDs or DVDs -- gift card to I-tunes if he has an Ipod. I'm doing a variety of gift cards for my 14 year old nephew -- McDonald's for when he's hanging out with friends -- Book Store and Best Buy or Circuit City (to fry the brain w/electronics {smile})
Good luck -- I'm having a tough time myself with these ages.
Happy Holidays!

My niece and nephew are a bit younger, in middle school and they are both participating in fundraisers so their classes can go on school trips so we give them cash to help out. They each have to raise $500.00 in order to go and it is something they really want to do.

Here's an idea, what about taking them by themselves for a day of shopping for their gift and going out to eat. Just take them one at a time,so that way it is just them and 'FAVORITE" Aunt NOT here's a present and see ya.

They are at an age where saving is difficult so you are wise about the gift cards and money. Have you considered savings bonds?
