I have tried re-installing windows home edition and pro but it still doesnt work. I dont want to take it to the shops. there must be a solution that i can do. can any1 help me?? Thank u in advance

Suppose you still have the warrenty up: Use the warrenty and get a new one.
Suppose you don't have the warrenty up: I suggest calling the company, of course they'll ask you to ship it out to them. But look at it this way, it's better to have the company fix it, and if they - God forbid - break it, they have to send you a new one :)

you could have lost the MBS (master boot sector ) what you need to do is get into the system Bios and make the system boot from the CD Rom then insurt the windows disk and reboot should start windows install.
