In view of the series of Bandhs WB experienced recently, another Bangla Bandh may irrititate certain sections of people. Moreover, the 48 hour long period is a bit too troublesome for common mass. On the other hand, a 48 hour Bandh means a 5-day-vacation, which people may take advantage of to have a quick visit to Digha or similar places.
Trinamool Congress will definitely try to make it a success, as they have too much at stake. And they will get some support from SUCI, Naxalites and some other political parties.
LF, on the other hand will try to make it a failure, as usual and may use Police Force, the CITU and other Union workers and their cadres to keep everything normal.
Considering everything, I guess the Bandh will yield mixed results - and definitely it will be more successful on the first day.
So, if you are planning for a vacation, go ahead. But try to be out of the state, as it may not remain entirely peaceful.
