Go buy a tree and lights and do the same for someone who can't afford to. Take them a bag of food while your at it. Give them a few dollars also. I have been on the receiving end of kindhearted people in the past and repay this debt gladly every year. Merry Christmas!

Finding a way to help others is a great way to boost your spitits any time of year. And there are always plenty of opportunities right now.
Visit hospitals, rest homes, homeless kitchens. Take home made treats or small useful gifts. Take friends with you and sing carols and/or play instruments. Pick an angel from an angel tree and shop for your special angel (pretend you are giving your angel the Christmas you had as a child or would have liked to have).
Anything that takes your focus off yourself and your immediate 'comfort zone' is always a boost.

Try volunteering for something, like helping the local Toys for Tots to wrap gifts for the children they are giving to. Go to local hospital and see if you can volunteer to read to the children or help out in some way.

You and me both...I've tried eggnog, the gifts, the decorations, parties, the music - nothing yet! I will let you know if the baking of Christmas cookies does it for me later!

count your blessings and be thankful for what you have as there are many who are less fortunate. think of helping someone else such as volunteer work at a soup kitchen, Salvation Army, Church, etc.
