I have carpeting on the stairs already, and I am to laying pergo almost everywhere. There already are wood treads & risers. I wondering if this was possible or do I have to buy all new treads for this?

It is very easy.
You don't use the foam padding underneath though, you actually glue it down with construction adhesive.
Then you top off the outside corner with a stairnose piece, about $30 for a 6' piece. It is also glued AND screwed down.

Yes, the treads and risers are made from the pergo boards themselves. The tread ( step ) edges are covered by bull nose edging ( Sold as such by Pergo )

You can but is a real pain.. Nosing for each tread jacks your price up quickly.

Yes you can. You will need the the stair lips and molding to seal all the edges of the stairs.

Yes you can. Call the manufacturer for pamphlets to mail to you or go to the websites.
