Because in America for some historical quirk, a sports similar to cricket, but infinitely less technical and stupid called "baseball" became established. Although sports historians agree that both Cricket and Baseball originated from similar bat-ball games of 18th century Britain, it is not clear why the Americans developed a passion for the stupid and hit & run "baseball" while the rest of British colonies graduated to the infinitely more patient, technically sound, visually aesthetic and intellectually challenging game called Cricket.

Americans like excitement. Football, Baseball, and Basketball are fast paced, full contact, exciting sporting events that personify America's attitude toward sports. A bunch of Limeys dressed in ridicules outfits playing an aborted version of softball with a flat bat and a cabbage ball is not our idea of entertainment. The rules of the game are stupid and the terminology that they use is a bunch of incoherent psycho-babble. You might try to ease Curling in on us, but hell will freeze over before our children grow up playing in summer cricket leagues.

Doesn't fit our temperament. Although I think in a way baseball is a substitute for cricket. If you don't grow up playing and watching baseball the nuances are lost i.e. Tinker to Evans to Chance--so it is like that for cricket for us--we did not grow up with it..So we really don't grasp it nor do Cricket fans grasp baseball finer points,as illustrated by the following.
Baseball's Sad Lexicon
These are the saddest of possible words,
"Tinker to Evans to Chance"
Trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds,
Tinker and Evans and Chance.
Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble,
making a Giant hit into a double--
Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble:
"Tinker to Evans to Chance"
Franklin Pierce Adams

cricket isnt played in america because baseball is the national sport of america, and cricket is the national sport of england, india, pakistan, australia, Etc., and there are minor league cricket teams , united states have participated in the icc world cup twice and lost, so they arent international playing teams they are more like a team that doesnt play much of test cricket or odi cricket

They don't play cricket because if they do, they would have to compete with the teams from the rest of the world. They are quite happy with the poor man's version of cricket by which I mean Baseball and even happier by arranging an annual all America contest and calling it World Major League Baseball...quite interesting...

Because instead of cricket we have the vastly superior sport of baseball.
Though similar in a few respects, baseball is quite superior because:
-- there is more athletic ability required of the players (real base-running skills, for example)
-- the games don't last 3 days (although technically possible if the score remains tied through several hundred innings, it's never happened)
-- we don't let our players wear the extensive protective gear that cricket players do, even though getting hit with a 100mph fastball is no picnic :)
-- the grace and beauty of a well-turned double play is something you'll never see in cricket
Having spent a lot of time in the UK, I understand cricket and agree that it can be interesting and exciting. But, sorry, baseball just has it all over cricket...and in addition, it's not a colonial holdover from our former ruling nation (Britain), we invented it ourselves :)
Enjoy your sticky wickets! But give me a grand slam anyday...

There are other sports such as football and baseball have established in the market as well as in the minds of American people. But more than that American people are very arrogant and they have some inexplicable dislike for anything that is not American. But let me tell you Americans are so fat and that I don't think that they can play cricket very well anyway.
