HP Laptop Drive labeled AMZK3000I00... is it legitimate?

Pavilion DV8235NR Drive died. HP sent replacement which does not work (restore DVD's say not for this PC). Original drive in "refurbished" laptop only label is AMZK3000I00. Help-HP phone help don't seem to know what is happening either!!!

You may need to "tatoo" the drive for the computer to accept it as a legitimate drive. Contact the representative and ask them about a tatoo program and if the drive may not have been tatoo'd correctly.

Have HP send you the restore disks for that laptop...you might have the wrong disks.
