I believe you are suppose to be on the pill for one month before you really should be doing that. It's important for your hormones to change so your body believes that you can't get pregnant. Better safe then sorry.

Yes, it takes a month for birthcontrol to take full effect untill then use back up protection. And if you miss a pill in that month you will still need to use back up protection

YES. Use a back-up form of birth control, like a condom, just to be safe. Nothing is 100% safe except abstinence - most bc pills and condoms are only 97-99% guaranteed to work, so it's much safer to combine them. Plus, a condom will protect you from any STDs your boyfriend may unknowingly be carrying (and vice versa).

Technically, the BC pill is still not 100% effective and a woman can still become pregnant while on it. But it is best you wait at least ONE MONTH before engaging in sexual intercourse. This will allow the pill time to adapt within your system.

You should always use protection. Your birth control won't become completely effective for another few months. But remember a lot of things can throw birth control off such as taking medication, forgetting to take it, ect.

Yes!

Birth control is not effective until the first month - and first period - have passed. Continue using condoms or other forms of birth control until that time.

If you took your first pill during your period, then you will be protected after taking seven active pills in a row. If you started after your period then you need to wait until after your next period, just in case you have already ovulated. Use condoms until then.
