I was going to give a friend an independent film for Christmas, but looking at my film collection I realize most of my movies will bore the life out of him. Any suggestions about a movie that is easily accessible/ likeable that is within the independent film genre? Keep in mind he is a 24 year old male, so something kind of hip would be good. Thanks.

Good Will Hunting or Little Miss Sunshine. Indie movies with familiar faces should ease him in nicely.

I agree with Summerluv on Hard Candy. I didn't like Memento but I thought Hard Candy was a great movie. It was definitely a little insane but that was part of the charm.

Memento was an excellent film. A few years old, but excellent! Also Hard Candy was really good... a little crazy, but still good stuff!
