Hi,Elio,
Legend has it that Gerry Anderson said it didn't stand for anything, but rumour has it that F.A.B stood for 'Fully advised and briefed'.
And,let's face it,if you're in Thunderbird 2 hovering over an exploding oil rig with Lady Penelope dangling from a rescue harness beneath you in a force 9 gale, you really don't want to spend too much time talking on your microphone,do you?
Have a good Christmas.
Mister Viv

According to the Thunderbirds website, the creator of Thunderbirds himself said, "In the 1960's the buzz word was fabulous this became shortened to FAB and we use FAB as a code meaning your message has been received and understood."
