Absolutely! Just be careful that he doesn't move on to hitting you! You need to consider how important this relationship is to you. If you are scared, then you need to leave immediately. He has a terrible temper and must get some help. Apparently, there is some pent up anger about something. Either make sure he gets some help or move out before he hurts you instead of the walls!

Yes. This would be considered a form of mental abuse (intimidation). People who hit inanimate objects do so in order to express anger (there are better ways to deal with that), but there is also a need not to feel guilty. A wall can't cry, yell, or bleed.

It is considered abuse if it is to scare the other person or to intimadate them also often it doesnt stop at the wall after a time it could progress. If you need to hit something go out of ears range and site range and cool off. Although in a good relationship and argument should stop before the point of needing to hit anything its not a good idea to leave but to separate to cool off. Leaving in general usually only pissed someone off more. good luck

Not directly but it could lead to other forms of abuse like mental abuse. Be very careful with this. Someone who does this will usually start other behavior that will not be in your best interest. Get help for yourself or this other person immediately.

I'm not sure it would necessarily be considered a form of abuse, but it is definately scary and a form of intimidation. i remember my ex hitting and breaking things and telling me "if i don't do that i would try to hit you". Nobody should have to put up with that.

It is a form of intimidation; an implied threat. It also reflects a person who is not mature enough to handle their anger and resorts to a larger version of a temper tantrum.
