Katherine Harris was trounced in her run for Senate by the incumbent, Bill Nelson.
Her old House seat has been the subject of controversy as the election results have been too close to call.

Vernon "Vern" Buchanan (Republican) was declared the victor. Initial voting results had him leading Democratic opponent Christine Jennings by less than 350 votes, although due to reports of irregularities with Sarasota County voting machines, a recount was ordered. On November 20, 2006, the Florida Department of State certified the results as Buchanan winning by 369 votes, following a court challenge by Jennings.

the results was that (IT) got blown out....(IT) made i(ITS)name known by helping rig an election...(IT) can run for dogcatcher but i doubt if (IT) could be elected
