2004 was an election year. Every election year (this one included) there are government officials who bring up these idiotic meaningless bills and amendments to distract us from the actual important topics that they don't want to talk about. If the Right can get people wrapped around a simple topic that is easy to understand then they will bring out more of their followers to vote. It should be the complex issues such as social security, health insurance, cooperate responsibility, and taxes that should be hotly debated during these times. Lets stop wasting our time arguing over trivial things and start dealing with issues that have a huge impact on our lives.

Just think, would it matter more to you if you saw people burning a flag, or if your grandparents didn't get their social security checks that they depend on?
