Hi,

I've just read something about swinging on here and thought it was an interesting topic... My man always asks me to swing and although we have tried it i don't see why the Americans thing it is a regular thing.

Yes us brits do try things - which in my opininon is the only way you will learn. But Why do people judge us for trying somehting new!

I think Swinging is good because you don'r get bored with the same 'yooha' and 'flingy'. I've never found a decent party though. They are always new and inexperienced! Any tips???

Bearing in mind that i don't want 'something is missing'. It's not. We both love each other very much. He is older than me (And lost his sex drive a long time ago). It's me that first suggested it joking but now we've done it it aint as bad as that.

We usually know the people (Or met them before)...

Open your mind.

There's a whole world out there that do a lot worse.

Well, I am American, and I can tell you that swinging is not all that unusual here. I think what you're actually seeing is that we Americans tend to be very strong in our opinions, not middle-of-the-road. The majority does not swing, so therefore the majority of responses you get here will be the "your marriage is missing something" opinions. In England, where most people who do not swing would probably just skip the question entirely without answering, we opinionated Americans (being opinionated has its advantages and disadvantages) will each answer according to our own beliefs.

In answer to your question, my tips:
1) Try a swingers club.
2) Use online swingers message boards to meet new couples.
3) Stay long-term friends with couples with whom you swing.

Hmmm, is it you suggesting it because you need more from your man, and he has lost his sex drive? The idea is very exciting and sexy for some, but once there it can get scary. Performance might become and issue for the guys and the girls might chicken out. You also have to remember that the average age of swingers in 40+ ... and they do not look like the US versions on telly.... Buy some videos, use toys, dress up.... talk about it lots first....whatever you decide, be prepared for any consequences, good or bad!

Whatever suits your fancy. It's not for everyone. I'm open minded and may try later, but for now I would like to enjoy the safety of being with only one person.

Even as curious and open to new ideas as I am, I sometimes wonder if with all the diseases plagging the world, it would be a good idea to get it going on with strangers.

Good luck

Just wouldn't work for me - I wouldn't wanna share my other half with anyone else, and i'm not interested in sex with anyone else as i'm more than happy with what i've got!! If you want to do it though, go for it! As you say, it's all to do with being open minded which is a good thing.

I WON'T JUDGE YOU, BUT I THINK THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER WAYS TO MAKE YOUR LOVE LIFE BETTER AND NOT GET BORED OF THE SAME "YOOHA" AND "FLINGY". FOR ME PERSONALLY, WHEN TWO PEOPLE ARE TOGETHER, DATING SERIOUSLY AR MARRIED, THEIR LOVE LIFE IS SOMETHING SACRED, THE MOST INTIMATE WAY TO SHOW YOUR LOVE TO YOUR PARTNER, AND SWINGING FOR ME IS AND WILL NEVER BE, AN OPTION. THERE ARE MANY CLUBS FOR SWINGERS AND THEIR MEMBERS ARE DEFINITELY NOT UNEXPERIENCED.SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THAT- TRY CONNECTING THEM.
