For going from a laptop usb port into a desktop usb port? So that I can transfer files?

Indeed there are. I have one plugged in right now.

It's called a "PC-LinQ cable"

You used to be able to buy them at Radio Shack and stuff, but now they are kind of hard to find. Google found this website that sells them, though:

you can still do this by saving all your files in a usb and transfer them to the PC. or you could send it through email..i do that all the time.

You actually do not need it. You can connect two computers via LAN. The cable can be purchased in any tech store. The second option is to transfer them via flash card or compact hard drive.
