I mean he isnt the sharpest tool in the shack, so where does his brain power have any important role in the decision as to what to do next?

and why doesnt the press ever ask him a direct question, such as mr bush do you think that your cognitive powers can add anything to this report?

The ISG report is not a recipe for success. Therefore, the President needs to determine what his policy should be.

The President needs to review his policies with his advisors and his new SecDef. He will take their advice over the political the ISG report.

Aside: What I find incredible is the number of people who think a President has to know everything about everything. Look, what a president needs to do is gather around him the smartest, most capable people in each area, give them the big-picture direction, discuss how they will achieve the goals, and let the experts do their thing.

"Why doesn't the press ever ask him a direct question"?!? Are you kidding? Don't you ever watch the press conferences on TV? He is asked direct questions all the time. The REAL question is, why doesn't he ever ANSWER them?

Why is he "thinking about it?" Hmmm.....I'm gonna guess here....he's NOT thinking about it. He is going to plod on with his own agenda and "master plan" regardless of what any report says, and he is simply delaying the inevitable, which is, to tell the American people again that HE is "The Decider", and HE has "decided" to "stay the course". The body bag manufacturer will not be going out of business any time soon. Pathetic.

Because there are some problems with that report. Apparently the authors missed the fact that Syria and Iran are sponsoring much of the violence when they made the recommendation that those two countries become 'more involved.'

The rest of the 'suggestions' were all stuff that we are either already doing or have already been tried.

The press does ask him rather direct questions...but the one you mentioned is rude and would be very inappropriate....regardless of what you think about the President and his policies, you just don't do things like that.
