and the screen area setting wont move from 640 -480 pixels , I had to re-install Win XP on my computer and after I did this, this is the result that i've gotten, does anyone know if and how this can be corrected? Thanks

Have you downloaded and installed Service Pack 2? I'd do that first.

Sounds like you need to reinstall your video drivers. The default ones from XP must not support all of the settings for your video card. Either find the install disc that came with it, or look up the current drivers on the manufacturer's website.

Your graphics card (video card) driver is not properly installed hence the device is not correctly identified.
Find out what type of graphics card you have & search the manufacturer web site for the latest driver.
This will fix the issue.
*** Since Windows is not detecting your card, the "Device Manager" will not help in identifying the card.
If the device in "integrated" in the motherboard you will have to find the mainboard model / typ & look it up on the web for drivers.
If you have an actual card you may have to open your PC & examine it for brand & info.
