Hi u can find them all over the island, depends on ur willingness to travel. U can try Central Library 5th floor(bright, quiet, big tables, nice view), the Macdonalds next to Bras Besar Complex(there are seats but its not totally silent, but its usually quite quiet at the corner). The only downside for the Mac is the temptation to eat there is alot coz its very convenient. For the CL, u need to be there latest by 10 to find seats(single) there coz by den it will be almost full already. I havent find the perfect place yet so im hoping to see some good suggestions here but i hope the place wont be flooded when its revealed though ha!

Go to schools like Singapore Poly, Ngee Ann Poly, Temasek Poly, Republic Poly, Nanyang Poly, SIM or SMU for studying then.

You can even bring your notebook or laptop if you've one there. Because they've FREE wireless internet for usage so you can surf for some studying info in case you require any. And some of these schools don't require any special student pass for people to enter their school canteens or cafes. You can also sit down at any of the available seats in the school compound and study there quietly. In addition, the food & beverages are sold in the canteens & beverages machines at a cheaper price which you're likely to afford and spend for the whole day there!

find a rich friend who lives at a condo and suggest you study together by his/her swimming pool. they usually have ample seats and is generally quiet during weekdays. if the condo has a minimart, lucky you.

other places are the airport but its crowded during the exam period. don't go to fast-food restaurants like macs because macs has that tv thing that won't shut up. however, during the weekdays and not the school holidays, downtown east is pretty empty so you can probably get a seat at burger king.

my friend had an obsession with studying by the beach. its extremely quiet during weekdays so you probably can get a seat.

For peak hours, head to the central library, everywhere else will be noisy.
For after office-hours, some of the fast food joints in the CBD are great place to mug... check them out. E.g. BK at Phillip Street (Raffles Place behind OCBC Building), and the ones near Lau Pa Sak are quite empty after the lunch crowd left.
